POLICY & TUITION
CALENDAR ‑ This policy covers the period between August 15 and June 15 and includes approximately forty lessons. In addition, I often teach in the summer during which time payment is on a per lesson basis.
MY CLASS- is comprised of children 7 and older, advanced adult amateurs and professional piano teaches. I do not teach adult beginners.
TUITION ‑ For students taking weekly lessons, payment is on a monthly basis and is due on the first lesson of the month except for August when payment for 1/2 month is due on the 15th. (June payment is also 1/2 the monthly fee). I prefer payment through Zelle but will accept cash, checks, Paypal, or Venmo. Monthly fees are as follows:
- One hour lesson (or two ½ hour lessons) per week $380/month
- One forty‑five minute lesson per week $300/month
- One half-hour lesson per week $200/month
- Bi‑weekly or irregular lessons $110/hour
- 75 minute lessons $130
VACATION - During the period between Labor Day and June 30 I will take 4 weeks of vacation, usually one week between Christmas and New Year’s Day and 3 additional weeks of my choosing. This will not alter the monthly payments unless I exceed 4 weeks.
MISSED LESSONS ‑ Lessons missed for a reasonable excuse will be made up within the next two weeks whenever possible. I require 24 hours notice for all missed lessons, but I ask that if you are ill, please do not come to your lesson, in which case I will find a make‑up time for you.
WORKSHOPS ‑ I will schedule workshops for my school age students approximately once a month. Every student is expected to come to these gatherings as they are an important part of my program. Adult workshops will take place bi‑monthly. There is no charge for these events.
TERMINATING ‑ If you wish to discontinue lessons I ask for one month's advance notice.
CONFERENCES ‑ I am always available to discuss students' progress or problems, and will be happy to answer any questions you have.
